Media Awareness and Critique

Contemporary local and global news and entertainment media increasingly reflects and shapes our different cultural contexts. Such media messages carry more or less visible traces of worldviews. These traces include contrasting values, views of humanity, views of reality, and faith commitment. Understanding these different worldview levels increases our deeper appreciation of various media messages, whether we think of intended or interpreted messages.

(Jarle Haugland i Familie & Medier)
